Welcome to IREM Austin
On behalf of the Community Outreach Committee, we are pleased to invite you to participate in Operation Backpack: School Supplies for Children in Need. All proceeds from this project will be donated to Project HELP (Homelessness Education and Learning Program). Project HELP is a program in the Austin Independent School District that assists students experiencing homelessness to enroll, participate and succeed in school.
By hosting a school supply drive in your building or apartment community, you (along with your colleagues and tenants) will be providing much needed school supplies for children who find themselves in a state of homelessness and in need of assistance. The supplies collected will be distributed to children in order to provide them with the resources they need to participate fully in the classroom and in their homework assignments.
Contributions will be accepted in two ways. You may place a collection container in your building/office for people to leave supplies. You may also accept checks made out to Capital City Fund for Education, Inc. A schedule of key dates is listed on the attached registration form.
If you decide to participate in this program, please complete the attached registration form and return it to Kathleen Ramlow at kramlow@aspen-prop.com or fax number 512-918-8855 (no cover page needed).
